Lessons and Realizations

  • Everyone is lovable and it’s possible to have empathy for anyone.  The mindset should be that “We are all the result of our past/experiences (deterministic view), and we have much less control over who we are than what it might seem like on the surface”
  • Always be kind, patient, and considerate of other people’s feelings.  Your words can build people up or break them down (the effects are greatly amplified due to my sensitivity and emotional intelligence).  Anything can either be said in an abrasive way or a kind way.  Always choose the kind way.  Admit mistakes if/when you make them.
  • Don’t commit before you have to (hotels, return plane ticket, RV)
  • Be careful who you surround yourself with (tawny turning Tyler into a more 9/5 person)
